The philosophy of Sankofa Care is to develop and provide care services which are required by authorities in line with their development and strategic plans. We aim to deliver the best outcomes possible for all service users and young people and to realise individuals aspirations and choices wherever possible.

Sankofa Care was established by Olivia Osei – Asibey, a social worker by profession, and her fostering family. With the strong conviction that it is possible to offer professional and personalised services that exceed set standards, to children and young people, carers, and stakeholders, Sankofa Care provides opportunities for even the most challenging children.

Key to our success is our ability to provide individualised bespoke care to achieve excellent outcomes and meet placing authority’s aspirations and targets for young people and those in care. Ensuring that even the most challenging young people are able to ‘Stay Put’ if they so wish. Our management and social work teams have extensive experience in education, children’s services, family placements, adoption & post adoption support work, supported living and mental health specialisation in both the statutory and voluntary sectors. This enables us to fully understand the relationship and partnerships between services and enables us to provide excellence in joined up working and support. Better supported carers ensures better placements for the young people in our care.

Sankofa Care has developed its business in a considered and research led approach in consultation and partnership with stakeholders whilst maintaining its strong ethics, philosophy and corporate integrity and identity. We continue to expand and implement best care practices and deliver best value through partnerships and consultation with stakeholders.

Sankofa Care is Ofsted registered and an approved provider of London Care Placement. Sankofa Care is also a member of BAAF, Fostering Network (FN), National Association of Fostering Providers (NAFP), and The Independant Children’s Home Association (ICHA).
